• Are there any side effects of Laser Genesis?

• Can Laser Genesis and LED be performed on the same day?

   We do not perform Laser Genesis and LED on the same day – however you can have an LED the day after! 

• How does Laser Genesis work?

  A gentle yet powerful anti-ageing laser facial. The Cutera Laser Genesis safely heats the dermis by pulsing micro-beams of laser energy onto the skin. 

• How many Laser Genesis treatments will I need and how often can I have treatment?

  We usually recommend a course of 6 treatments performed every 2-6 weeks.   

• How much downtime is there with a Laser Genesis treatment?

  There is minimal downtime after this facial – the skin is usually warm and slightly pink straight afterwards. The redness subsides within a few hours and mineral makeup can be applied immediately afterwards. 

• Is Laser Genesis good for enlarged pores?

  LED is incredible for refining pores and smoothing the overall texture of your skin. 

• Is Laser Genesis good for pigmentation?

  Laser Genesis doesn’t specifically treat pigmentation, however it will brighten the overall complexion of your skin.  

• Is Laser Genesis good for rosacea?

  Yes, a course of Laser Genesis along with a tailored homecare routine has significantly improve the appearance of rosacea.

• Is Laser Genesis painful?

  Laser Genesis is a relaxing, rejuvenating and a pain-free experience. It does have a warming sensation.  

• What are the benefits of Laser Genesis?

  Reduces overall redness, improves texture, refines enlarged pores and stimulates collagen and elastin which is great for overall antiaging.

• What can I expect from my Laser Genesis treatment?

  Our Laser Genesis treatments involves a gentle exfoliation from the lactic peel, gentle stimulation by the laser and hydration of the Crystal Fibre Mask. The skin will be left feeling revived, plump, tight and glowing.

• What is diffuse redness?

  Areas of rosy redness that flush easily and is associate with dilated capillaries.

• What is the aftercare for a Laser Genesis?

  No actives for 48 hours, wear SPF and keep the skin cool. For best results, we recommend to use your prescribed homecare in between sessions.

• What skin types can have Laser Genesis?

  All skin types can have Laser Genesis!

• What’s the difference between the Laser Genesis signature and lite?

  Laser Genesis Signature and Lite both include a Lactic Peel and a Crystal Fibre Mask. The Signature treatment treats the full face while the Lite is concentrating on only half of the face to treat a area of concern (usually the nose and cheeks)

• What wavelength does Laser Genesis work on?

  The Cutera Laser Genesis uses 1064nm.
