Yes, we can treat with most medications, however we may require a doctor’s consent. -

Can I have Laser Hair Removal if I’m wearing fake tan?
No, as the laser is attracted to pigment both natural and artificial, we are unable to treat skins that have fake tans. Please ensure the area being treating is free of fake tan otherwise a cancellation fee may apply if your appointment needs to be re-booked. -
Can I have Laser Hair Removal if I’ve been in the sun?
We ask you refrain from sun exposure for up to 2 weeks before your appointment and to exercise sun care post-treatment. -
Can I have Laser Hair Removal on my face?
Yes, we treat full face for men and women, we just can’t treat under the eyebrows. -
Can I have laser if I’m menstruating?
Yes, we just ask that a tampon is worn during treatment. -
Can red or blonde hair be treated?
As the laser is attracted to melanin in the hair, darker hairs do respond best to treatment. Although some darker blonde hairs may respond, typically red and white hairs generally do not respond to treatment. -
No, it is unsafe to laser over tattoos. It can lead to burns, blistering and skin damage.

Everybody’s pain tolerance varies but some level of mild discomfort should be expected. Most clients say it is similar to a rubber band lightly flicking on the skin accompanied with a warm sensation. Please let your specialist know if the treatment feels too intense or is too hot.

Do I need to shave prior to my appointment?
Yes, we require you to shave within 24 hours of your appointment, as clean shaven as possible. -
How do I prepare for my Laser Hair Removal appointment?
Shave all areas being treated the night before treatment and ensure all fake tans have been scrubbed off. The area also must be free from recent sun exposure as we are unable to treat skins that are still retaining heat from the sun. -
How many sessions will I need in total?
We recommend a series of 6-10 sessions depending on which area we are treating. These are normally performed every 4-6 weeks. -
How often do I need to get Laser Hair Removal?
This will depend on the hair, skin type and which body area is being treating. For the face we normally recommend 2-week intervals. For the rest of the body 4-6 weeks. -
How old do you need to be for Laser Hair Removal?
Any age can receive Laser Hair Removal, however if you are under 18, we will require parental consent. -
I have epilepsy, can I still have Laser Hair Removal?
If your epilepsy is triggered by light, for your safety we are unable to treat. If it is not triggered by light, we can still treat but we do require a doctor’s consent. We have block out goggles available that we can use to shield your eyes during treatment. -
A histamine response can present as mild follicle swelling, redness and may be itchy. With some clients this can be prolonged but is a normal side effect.
